*When you buy a ticket at The Vic we kindly ask you to make a $1 donation to the Victoria Theatre Charitable Trust. This is added to the ticket price at the point of sale but it is refundable if you decide to opt out of this donation.  The donation will help the Victoria Theatre Trust to preserve and improve New Zealand's oldest purpose-built picture theatre and enhance this community asset for everyone to enjoy.>

Please note that we have recently introduced allocated seating for Live Shows and Special Events.  That means the earlier you book your ticket the better chances you have to get the seat you want.  Seating plans are available from over the counter and online.

3D Glasses

Our 3D system is an active shutterglas system. We believe these glasses deliver a great 3D imagery and are superior to most other passive systems on the market.  It also means that our 3D glasses are very expensive and need to be returned to us after the show. The extra cost of screening 3D films are due to higher running costs of the projection equipment, cleaning, sanitising and maintaining our 3D glasses will either be included in the ticket price or added as a separate hire charge, depending on the film. Please note that 3D tickets that include will the glasses hire as part of the ticket price cost more than regular tickets (see our ticket price chart above).

Online Ticket Sales

To book tickets online please click on the session time next to the date of the screening or event. This will take you through to the ticket booking page.  Online ticket sales attract a small surcharge of $1 per ticket or up to a maximum of $4 per transaction. This is an outside charge which is retained by our online ticketing service provider.

Group Prices

We offer special group discounts for groups of 20 people or more. The level of discount is dependent on the size of the group and applies to our regular ticket prices. Group prices do not apply in conjunction with any other ticket offers or promotions, or to movie screenings within the first two weeks of their nationwide release date.

Tickets to Live Shows

Prices for Live Shows are dependent on the type of show and the price the promoter / producer is charging. These ticket types are published on the link through to the ticket booking page. Tickets are allocated and we advise to book early to secure your chosen seat. Visit our Special Events page to see what Live Shows/Events we have coming up.
